Charlotte, N.C.- The Blue Bears continued their winning streak with a hard-fought 74-73 victory over Johnson & Wales, a thrilling game that showcased both individual and team efforts.
James Nipper led the charge for Livingstone, contributing a team-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including a crucial three-pointer. He also added 8 rebounds and 2 assists in his 25 minutes on the floor.
Jamal Cannady Jr. followed with 10 points, including 2 made three-pointers. Despite the tough shooting night, Cannady also contributed 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and played solid defense.
King Ijeoma also finished with 10 points, hitting 4-of-7 from the field, and played a big role on the boards, grabbing 6 rebounds.
Paul Tako added 10 points, shooting 3-of-7, and grabbed 5 rebounds, while
Teon Tiller's 7 points and 5 assists helped keep the offense balanced throughout the game.
The bench also contributed, with
Jeremiah Mobley adding 4 points,
Chandler Collins-Johnson putting in 4 points as well, and
Trey Minard chipping in 3 points.
