SALISBURY, N.C.- In a thrilling double overtime battle, the Livingstone Lady Blue Bears secured a 91-84 victory over Winston-Salem State in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Livingstone came out strong, taking the early momentum with the first points of the game, and they never let up in what turned out to be a wild and intense matchup.
The standout performances were led by
Thalia Carter, who played an incredible 46 minutes, scoring 19 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 4 assists.
Samiyah Briggs was also a key contributor with 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and
Morgan Kelson finished with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds in 41 minutes of action.
Jay'La Williams had a solid outing with 16 points and hit four 3-pointers, while
Bria Griffith added 10 points, including a 1-of-2 performance from beyond the arc. Despite the high minutes and fatigue, the Lady Blue Bears' team effort ensured that they overcame Winston-Salem State, with key contributions from players like
Boston Bates and
Breasia Coit in the clutch moments.
