Salisbury, NC- Livingstone College men's basketball closed out the year with a hard-fought 88–77 loss to Converse University inside New Trent Gymnasium. The Blue Bears battled back in the second half but couldn't overcome Converse's hot shooting from beyond the arc.
Converse set the tone early, knocking down 10 three-pointers in the first half to build a 41–33 lead at the break. The Valkyries finished the game shooting 55.6% from three-point range and 50.9% overall, led by Camden Edmonds with 23 points and six triples. Will Fowler added 18 points and seven assists, while Jordyn Surratt posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Livingstone dominated the paint with 50 points inside, but struggled from deep, going just 4-for-15 from three.
James Nipper paced the Blue Bears with 20 points and four assists, while
Erick Coffey contributed a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. The bench provided a spark, scoring 30 points, but turnovers (14) and Converse's perimeter shooting proved costly.
