Washington, D.C. – The Blue Bears fell on the road Tuesday evening, dropping a 74–66 decision to the University of the District of Columbia. Livingstone trailed 36–31 at halftime and couldn't overcome UDC's strong second-half free-throw shooting, as the Firebirds converted 21 of 26 attempts from the line.
Jacob Hukins Jr. led the Blue Bears with 14 points off the bench, while
Kenneth Tyree Jr. added 9 points and
James Nipper chipped in 8. Livingstone's bench provided a spark with 32 points, but UDC controlled the glass with a 42–32 rebounding advantage and built its largest lead of 14 midway through the second half.
For UDC, Kevon Corley paced the Firebirds with 17 points, while Ty Williams added 14 points.
Livingstone will look to bounce back on Sunday, December 21, when they travel to Lincoln University (PA) for a 4:00 PM tip-off.
