On December 2023, Livingstone College President
Dr. Anthony J. Davis faced one of life's most difficult challenges: a diagnosis of late-stage renal failure. This marked the beginning of a long and demanding journey. For nearly 18 months, he underwent dialysis treatments—an experience that tested his strength but never diminished his spirit or his commitment to the Livingstone College family.
Earlier this year, in 2025, Dr. Davis shared with the campus community that his condition had progressed to End Stage Renal Failure.
On November 13, 2025, hope turned into reality. Dr. Davis underwent a successful kidney transplant, a life-changing moment that marked the beginning of his recovery. Just four days later, on November 17, he was officially discharged from the hospital with full kidney restoration—meaning his kidney function is now normal.
Dr. Davis expressed deep gratitude to his medical team, his family, and the Livingstone College community for their prayers and unwavering support. His journey is a powerful testament to faith, perseverance, and the strength of community.
