Clarion, PA- Livingstone College women's basketball wrapped up its road series with a heartbreaking 84–79 double-overtime loss to Mansfield University on Saturday afternoon. Despite strong individual performances and a gritty effort, the Lady Blue Bears came up short in a thriller that featured multiple lead changes and clutch plays on both sides.
The contest was a battle from start to finish. Livingstone traded baskets with Mansfield throughout regulation, forcing overtime after a late defensive stand. In the first extra period, the Lady Blue Bears had chances to close it out but couldn't convert key free throws. Mansfield capitalized in the second overtime, hitting timely shots and sealing the game at the line.
Livingstone Leaders
- Breasia Coit led the Blue Bears with 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting, adding 19 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
- Jasiyah Crawford contributed 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, while hitting two key three-pointers.
