CIAA Announces 2025-2026 Women’s Bowling Preseason Team and Predicted Order of Finish

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 20, 2025) — The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) announces its 2025-2026 Women's Bowling Preseason All-CIAA Team and Predicted Order of Finish, as voted on by the CIAA Bowling Head Coaches Association. The selections highlight returning talent and programs expected to compete for the conference title during the upcoming season. 
  
2025-2026 Preseason All-CIAA Bowling Team 
  
The preseason team recognizes student-athletes projected to make a significant impact for their respective programs this season:

  • Brooke Smith, Jr., Shaw University 
  • Paige Rockwell, Jr., Fayetteville State University 
  • Nicole Sarko, Fr., Fayetteville State University  
  • Alexis Jackson, Sr., Virginia Union University 
  • Janaya Ward, So., Virginia State University 
  • Arianna Clayton, Fr., Bowie State University 
  • Janari Aiken, Fr., Fayetteville State University 
  • Kiara Powell, Sr., Virginia Union University 
  • Janaye Monroe, Sr., Bowie State University 
  
Predicted Order of Finish 
 
The CIAA Bowling Head Coaches Association also projected the following order of finish for the 2025-2026 season: 
  1. Fayetteville State University 
  2. Virginia Union University 
  3. Bowie State University 
  4. Shaw University 
  5. Elizabeth City State University 
  6. Virginia State University 
  7. Livingstone College 
  8. Johnson C. Smith University 
  
Fayetteville State enters the season as the defending CIAA Champion after capturing its fifth consecutive conference title last spring. The Broncos return a strong core, including multiple All-CIAA performers, while Virginia Union and Bowie State are expected to contend for the top spot with experienced lineups and promising newcomers. 
  
The 2025-2026 CIAA Bowling season will feature three regular-season events leading into the 23rd Annual CIAA Bowling Championship, scheduled for March 20–22, 2026, at Bowlero Bowling in Mechanicsville, VA. The event will determine the conference's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division II Women's Bowling Championship.
