Spartanburg, S.C.- After returning from their Christmas break, the men's basketball team had an impressive win against Converse, dominating the game with an 89-71 victory. The team showcased strong performances across the board, led by Jamal Cannady Jr., who was on fire, scoring 25 points while shooting 7-12 from the field and 3-5 from three-point range. He also added 3 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal to his stat line.
James Nipper was also a standout, contributing 13 points and 9 rebounds, with a solid all-around performance. Jamie Lewis had 8 points, and King Ijeoma had 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists, providing key support on both ends of the floor. Meanwhile, Paul Tako added 18 points, including 4-4 from the free-throw line.
Other notable contributions came from Trey Minard (7 points), Jeremiah Mobley (4 points), Ta'jae Jenkins (4 points), and Jared Weakly (2 points), each making their presence felt in the game.
