A solid performance from
Morgan Kelson, who led the team with 14 points and 14 rebounds, Kelson's efforts included 5-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.
Thalia Carter also played a significant role, contributing 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assist.Â
Bria Griffith added 6 points and 1 steal. The team struggled with consistency, as they shot 36.6% from the field and were held to just 2-of-10 from three-point range.
Jay'La Williams provided a spark off the bench, scoring 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-9 from beyond the arc. However, it wasn't enough to overcome Claflin's late-game surge.
The team will aim to bounce back on Saturday for another double-header, with the game against Shaw University set for 2 p.m.
