GAME 1
Strong pitching combined with timely hits helped propel the Blue Bears to a victory in game one. Livingstone's lone run came in the bottom of the first inning, started off by a well-placed double down the left field line by J'Lynn Wilson, one of her two hits in the game. One batter later, Ciana Bullock followed up with a double of her own to bring home Wilson, ultimately proving to be the difference. 

Freshman pitcher Ailani Brown had the best game of her young career, striking out six and only allowing three hits en route to the shutout and her first victory of the season. 

GAME 2

The Blue Bears continued to swing a hot bat in the second game of the doubleheader. Wilson knocked in an RBI double and later scored on a wild throw to give her squad a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Later in the fourth inning, she found the same success at the plate with a double to left field that brought two more runs across the plate to extend Livingstone's lead to 5-1. 

Allen fought back and made the game interesting in the top of the seventh inning, scoring three runs on a bases-clearing double to cut the deficit to one with two outs. Fortunately, the ensuing batter grounded out to shortstop to clinch the second win of the day for Livingstone. In the circle, freshman pitcher Symone Abraham finished with an impressive seven strikeouts en route to her third victory of the season, improving her record to 3-0.

The Blue Bears return home next Wednesday, March 13 to face off with Carolina University for a mid-week doubleheader at 1/3 PM.
