Aiken, S.C.- In a thrilling Saturday afternoon matchup, the Livingstone College women's basketball team emerged victorious with a 75-63 win over USC Aiken.
Leading the charge was
Thalia Carter, who played a pivotal role in the win with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, while also shooting 7-for-14 from the field.
Bria Griffith also contributed significantly, finishing with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Morgan Kelson added 13 points, including 2 three-pointers, and grabbed an impressive 15 rebounds, giving Livingstone a dominant presence on the boards.
Boston Bates chipped in with 10 points and 7 rebounds, while
Ny'Asia Green had 5 points and a solid 3 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
Off the bench,
Maya Gray had a strong performance, scoring 7 points, including 2 three-pointers, while
Jasiyah Crawford contributed 6 points and 1 rebound.
Livingstone's defense was effective, limiting USC Aiken scoring opportunities while controlling the game tempo. Their balanced attack and team-oriented play led to a convincing win.
