Miami Shores, F.L.- The Lady Blue Bears concluded their weekend series with a challenging matchup against Barry University this afternoon, where they came up short, falling 93-63 to the Buccaneers. The Lady Blue Bears showed great effort throughout the game but struggled to keep pace with the high-scoring offense of Barry University. Despite strong individual performances, Livingstone was unable to overcome the Buccaneers' fast-paced play and consistent shooting.
Thalia Carter led Livingstone with 18 points, and 5 rebounds.
Morgan Kelson added 10 points and 13 rebounds, continuing to show her presence inside with a solid double-double performance.
Ny'Asia Green also contributed 10 points, going 3-of-5 from the field and hitting 4-of-6 free throws.
Boston Bates and
Breasia Coit worked hard in the game, with Bates contributing 6 points and 7 assists, while Coit grabbed 7 rebounds but was held to just 2 points on 1-of-6 shooting.
Bria Griffith added 7 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, and
Jasiyah Crawford scored 5 points, while
Maya Gray chipped in with 4 points and 5 rebounds.
The Lady Blue Bears return home on Saturday, Dec. 7, to compete in a doubleheader against Bluefield State, with the women's game scheduled for 2 p.m.
