Salisbury, N.C.- In their first home game of the season, Livingstone College Women's Basketball claimed a hard-fought 66-62 victory over King University, marking their first win of the season.
Thalia Carter was the standout player of the game, leading the team with 19 points including a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed 9 rebounds and recorded 2 assists.
Bria Griffith provided a strong scoring contribution, adding 15 points, including 3-5 from three-point range.
Morgan Kelson was another key contributor, finishing with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
Ny'Asia Green added 7 points and 4 rebounds. Off the bench,
Boston Bates made an impact, scoring 11 points and grabbing 2 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
Breasia Coit and
Maya Gray also provided valuable minutes, contributing to the team's depth.
The Lady Bears are set to travel to Miami Shores, FL, for the Don Olson Alumni Shootout. They will open the tournament on Friday, November 29, against Lynn University at 7:30 p.m.
