HICKORY, North Carolina – The Livingstone track and field program continued its 2023 Outdoor season at the LR Bears Invitational, highlighted by 23 top-10 finishes.
Final Results
On the women's side, Lydia Chapple took first in the 100-meter dash setting a new personal best with a time of 11.97. Chapple also finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.64.
Amaya Williams placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.33. Saa'Naudia Deloatch took fifth in the 400-meters setting a new personal best with a time of 1:00.90.
Sydney McDonald finished second in the 800-meters setting a personal best time of 2:21.12. Charity Collins, Asia'Lee Fair, Dajaneen Alejandro-Ortiz, and Saa'Naudia Deloatch placed second in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:06.48. Sha'Terra Ferrell finished seventh in the high jump, clearing 1.40 meters.
Allysa Fryer took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.28 meters. Asiyah Clifton jumped 10.26 meters to finish tenth in the triple jump. Varvara Papakonstantinou placed first in the javelin with a mark of 31.27 meters.
Jewelle Becton took eighth with a mark of 19.94 meters.
On the men's side, Keilan Strader placed eighth in the 400-meters with a personal best time of 50.09. Curtxavier Fryson finished second in the 800-meters with a personal best time of 1:56.10.
Jacob Adkins took ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.11. David Bradford finished first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.90. Bradford placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.90.
Jayden Mungo took sixth in the 110 hurdles with a new personal best time of 15.36. Mungo also placed fifth in the men's long jump with a jump of 6.77 meters. David Bradford, Tyler Wagner, Louis Gilbert, and Keilan Strader finished fourth in the 4x400 meters with a time of 3:21.71.
Jaden Jenkins placed sixth in the high jump, clearing 1.85 meters. Landis Fredericks cleared 1.80 meters finishing ninth in the high jump.
Marcus Cook took sixth in the pole vault with a new personal best of 2.70 meters. Cook also took second in the men's triple jump with a jump of 14.29 meters.
Malik Head finished sixth in the shot put throwing 13.37 metes. Jeremiah Brown took sixth in the discus with a personal best throw of 40.64.
Terry Williams finished tenth with a throw of 37.77 meters.
