ELIZABETH CITY, North Carolina – Livingstone College women's bowling team continued their season at the CIAA Event II. The three-day event (Jan. 27-29) was Livingstone's first time back on the lanes in the new year.
Livingstone placed fourth overall after going 0-12 in the three days.
Saturday (Jan. 28), The Blue Bears (0-9) were in close range with Shaw University (3-6) where Carrington Hayward finished third overall, but the Bears prevailed in the long run.
Livingstone finished Friday with losses against Fayetteville State University (769-524, 763-500), Johnson C. Smith (630-482, 663-515, 482-787, and Shaw University (708-439).
On Day Three of the CIAA Event II (Jan. 29), The Blue Bears couldn't find a win in the Baker Scoring. Livingstone fell to Shaw (673-498). The Broncos defeated the Blue Bears (886-577), and Johnson C. Smith took match three (690-493)
The Blue Bears had a total pin score of 6081. Fayetteville State took first in the south, and overall with a total pin score of 9893.
