SALISBURY – The Livingstone Women's Basketball team collected their third conference win against St. Augustine's University Thursday evening in New Trent Gym, 64-52. 
The Blue Bears improve to (8-12,3-7), and The Falcons fall to (6-11,2-7). 
Alyssa Boyce led the Blue Bears with 13 points. Bria Griffith followed with 12 points and six rebounds. 
Thalia Carter finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.  
The Falcons Raquel Cassidy led with 11 points and nine rebounds. 
Livingstone shot 35.4% from the field (23-65) and 60.7% from the free-throw line (17-28).
The Blue Bears return to action Saturday, January 28, hosting Winston-Salem State University. The Falcons took an 11-point lead with a layup by Iyania Evans with :30 left in the first quarter, 17-6. A layup by Thalia Carter cut the Falcons lead to nine, but a foul by Andresia Alexander sent Dasmine Kasey to the line for two. Kasey made one of two free throws to put the Falcons up by 10 at the end of the first quarter, 18-8. 
The Blue Bears tied it up at the four-minute mark with a jumper by Thalia Carter, 24-24. A foul by Vernisha Robin sent Alyssa Boyce to the line for two. Boyce made both to give the Blue Bears a four-point lead at halftime, 33-29.
The Blue Bears came out into the third quarter extending their lead. A fast break layup by Iyania Evans cut the Blue Bears' lead to two, 40-38. With :12 left in the third quarter Andresia Alexander hit a jumper to add to the Blue Bears lead, 44-38. Lauren Banks hit a last minute jumper to cut the Blue Bears' lead to four at the end of the third quarter. 
At the six-minute mark in the fourth quarter, Samiyah Briggs hit a jumper to extend the Blue Bears' lead by 10, 52-42. The Falcons never regained a lead. While the Blue Bears scored 11 bench points and 10 points in the paint in the fourth quarter. 
The Blue Bears ended the night with 31 bench points versus the Falcons' 17. Livingstone outrebounded St. Augustine's 42-34.
