FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina – The Livingstone men's basketball team got outlasted by Fayetteville State University in Felton J. Capel Arena, 80-77.

The Blue Bears drop to (8-8, 4-3) in the season, while Fayetteville State University improves to (11-9, 6-2). 

Livingstone was led by Khyree Temple who recorded a double-double with 35 points and 12 rebounds. Arion Broadnax followed with 21 points. 

Fayetteville State University was paced by Kaleb Coleman with 22 points. Jacob Crutchfield followed with 20 points. Tyler Foster and Cress Worthy both finished with 10 points.

The first half belonged to the Broncos with their biggest lead of the night of 22. In the first half, Fayetteville had 13 points off turnovers versus Livingstone's nine. The Broncos had 17 bench points. The Blue Bears managed to still dominate in the paint with 20 points. 

The Blue Bears came out of halftime cutting the Broncos' lead one basket at a time. The Blue Bears got within seven at the 12-minute mark with a jumper by Khyree Temple, 55-48.

The Broncos quickly went back up by double-digits with a three-pointer by Kaleb Coleman, 58-48. With 8:12 left in the second half the Blue Bears trailed the Broncos by 16, 68-52.

The Blue Bears fought back and tied it up with 1:05 left in the second half, 77-77. 

With :40 left, Kaleb Coleman hit a three for the final bucket of the night.   

Livingstone would end the game shooting 50.0% (29-of-58). Fayetteville State would make 29 of 53 overall for 54.7 percent. 

The Broncos shot 75.0% from the free-throw line (12 out of 16). The Blue Bears went 68.4% from the free-throw line 13-of-19.

Fayetteville State outrebounded Livingstone, 33-26.

The Blue Bears will travel to Johnson C. Smith University Saturday, January 21. The first tip is set for 4:00 p.m.
