SALISBURY – Livingstone College sophomore CurtXavier Fryson on Wednesday received CIAA Cross Country Runner of the Week recognition from the Conference office.
Fryson, a product of Lake City, South Carolina, was named Men's Runner of the Week.
Fryson led the the Blue Bear men to a third-place team finish Saturday at the 38th Greensboro XC Invitational in Greensboro, North Carolina.
CurtXavier placed eighth in the individual standings on Saturday with a time of 30:35.91 in the men's 8,000-meter race.
Fryson has been Livingstone's top finisher in both of the Blue Bears meets this fall, as he placed sixth in the 8,000 meters at the Blue Bear Invitational on September 9.
The Blue Bears return to action on Saturday, October 1, when they compete in the Cedric Walker HBCU XC Challenge in Cary, NC.
