ORANGEBURG, South Carolina – Livingstone Volleyball (2-19,0-16) dropped in a 0-3 decision (14-25, 16-25, 14-25) to Claflin (12-9,6-9) Monday evening at Tullis Gym.

The Blue Bears recorded 14 kills and 14 assists, four aces, and registered 34 digs. 

Claflin hit .309. The Panthers hit 41 kills in the match with 37 assists, ten aces, and 42 digs. 

Set 1

• The Panther took an early 2-9 lead with a 6-0 run. 
• The Blue Bears had a couple of runs to cut the Panther lead by three, 7-10.
• The Panthers extended their lead by nine after a few 3-0 runs.
• Ultimately, the Panthers took set one, 25-14.

Set 2

• The Blue Bears took their first lead at the start of set two, 4-3.
• The Panthers quickly took the lead with a 4-0 run, 4-7.
• The Panthers extended their lead by eight after a few 3-0 runs, 11-19.
• The Panthers continued to pull away with another 4-0 run, 14-23.
• Ultimately, the Panthers took set two, 16-25.

Set 3

• Taylor Grant started set three with a big kill.
• The Blue Bears and the Panthers traded leads until the Panthers went on a 3-0 run to take the lead, 11-13.
• The Panthers extended their lead with a couple of 4-0 runs, 13-21.
  • Ultimately, the Panthers closed out the match, 25-14.
