Tiffany Chandler helped Livingstone defeat the Hornets of Morris College in a 3-0 sweep on Tuesday evening in New Trent Gym. The win is the first collegiate athletic win for head coach

"I'm just really impressed with the girls ability to execute on spot serving, being able to connect with the setters, and making sure that we do not free ball" said Coach E, " There's a great deal for the team raising the level of intensity from one game to the next"
The Blue Bears hit .241 and halted the Hornets, 25-6, 25-10, and 25-6. The team hit .357 in the first set alone while holding Morris to a -.333 attack percentage for the duration of the match.
A host of service and receptions errors plagued the Hornets in the opening set allowing the Blue Bears to take a 13-5 lead in the first eight minutes of the match. The trio execution from Ollyeon Mcmillion and All-conference preseason team members

Alexia Crutchfield helped the team record 21 kills while holding Morris to zero kills throughout the game. Morris ultimately struggled to keep the ball above the net on the return resulting in 23 reception errors.
Tiffany Chandler led the team on the defensive side of the ball recording seven assists and six digs while adding three kills of her own.
The team will travel to Sumter, S.C. to face Morris College at home on September 16. First serve is slated for 6:30 p.m.
