In a game that saw eight ties and nine lead changes, Livingstone's Lady Blue Bears edged  Virginia State  69-67 Monday evening in Ettrick, Virginia.

The Lady Blue Bears (5-7 CIAA 3-3 )were led by Daisa Harris who scored a game high 30 points in a designated non-conference game.  LC defeated Virginia State, 66-51 on December 5 in a game played in Salisbury.

Virginia State (8-8 CIAA 4-2) led 21-18 at the end of the first quarter. Livingstone outscored the Trojans 16-15 in the second quarter to enter halftime down by a 36-34 score.

After the break, LC stayed close with Harris scoring on a fast break layup to give the Blue Bears a 50-48 lead at the end of the third quarter. 

Both teams played even in the fourth quarter leaving Livingstone with a two-point margin of victory.

In addition to Harris, Daijah Turner (11 pts)) and Victoria Onozie (11 pts) finished with double-figure scoring.  Onozie was also chair of the boards pulling down nine rebounds.

VSU was led by Autumn Hopson with 14 points and Natalia Leaks with 12.

LC will continue its road swing Thursday, Jan 9 when they travel to meet Elizabeth City State in a designated conference game,
