With four of its five starters scoring in double-figures, Livingstone mens'basketball broke the century mark for the second time this season to defeat Shaw University, 107-85.
Roger Ray led the offensive explosion with25 points and six assists.  Lydell Elmore contributed 17 points and eight rebounds. They were joined by Cameron Carpenter with 11 points. Makik Smith came off the bench and added 11 points.
Sixteen players saw action in the game.
After spotting Shaw a 6-2 lead to start the game, LC stormed back to tie the game at 17-all with 13 minutes left in the half. The Blue Bears then went on a 24-2 run over the next nine minutes to take a commanding lead and head into halftime leading 53-30.
Although both teams played even in the second half, the damage had been done and Livingstone claimed its eighth win of the season and remained undefeated in New Trent Gymnasium.
With the loss, Shaw falls to 4-6 overall, 1-2 CIAA and 0-1 in the Southern division. Livingstone improves to 8-4 on the season, 3-3 in the CIAA and 1-1 in the Southern division.
 The Blue bears return to action on January 4 when they travel to Pennsylvania to take on the Lions of Lincoln University.
LC's next home game will be January 18 when they host Johnson C. Smith.
