Roger Ray scored a game-high 28 points (20 in the 2nd half) but it couldn overcome balanced scoring by Virginia Union as the Blue Bears fell to the Panthers 87-77 Thursday night in Richmond.
After going into the locker room at halftime tied at 31, Ray's heroic effort wasn't enough as VUU turned up the offense  making twice as many field goals in the second half as they did in the first.
As a result, LC falls to 3-2 and will return to action for their home opener on Monday, Nov 25 when they host Bowie State University in New Trent Gym.
