Blue Bears to Test Bulldogs in CIAA Play
SALISBURY - With just 22 days of rest, the Livingstone College men's basketball program are ready to get back on the hardwood. The Blue Bears are on the road again in Bowie, Maryland, as they go against the Bulldogs of Bowie State University at 7:30 p.m., in the A.C. Jordan Arena.
Livingstone has three players averaging double-digit scoring: guard Roger Ray with 17.4 points, forward Lydell Elmore with 13.3 points, and forward Malik Smith at 11.3 points. Defensively, Ray owns 16 steals and Navar Elmore has 15 blocks.
For Bowie State, David Belle sank a pair of free throws with .4 seconds remaining in the game to lift the  men's basketball to a key 67-65 CIAA home win against the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith on Saturday afternoon. The win snaps a two-game slide and sets the Bulldogs season mark at 6-8 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
