LC Football Visits Virginia Union in CIAA Play
SALISBURY – Fresh off a 30-0 win over CIAA Northern Division foe Lincoln University, the Livingstone College football team will take to the road this Saturday, playing at CIAA Northern Division opponent Virginia Union University, at Hovey Field in Richmond, Va. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
Last week, the Blue Bears won its second shutout game of the season. However, facing the Panthers can get tough for the Blue Bears. The Panthers are also 2-1 on the season. One of their wins was against Winston-Salem State, a thorn in the Panthers heel for several years.
This will be the 27th meeting between the two schools. Last time these two teams met Livingstone fell to Virginia Union 32-25 in 2013, however, the Blue Bears defeated the Panthers 23-21, in 2012.
