LC Football to Open CIAA Play Hosting Lincoln (Pa.)
SALISBURY - The Livingstone College football team will return home for the first time in three weeks hosting CIAA Northern Division foe Lincoln University (Pa.) on Saturday, Sept. 22 with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff, at Alumni Memorial Stadium in Salisbury, North Carolina.
The Blue Bears (1-1) enter the matchup after having an unofficial bye week with the cancelation of last week's football game with Lane College due to Hurricane Florence.
The Blue Bears snapped a 14-game losing streak by beating Allen University, 19-0 back on September 8, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Lincoln (Pa.) is 0-3, having lost to Fayetteville State, Central Connecticut State and Clarion. Â Lincoln has a current 21-game losing streak, having lost the last eight games in 2016, then going 0-10 last season.
This will be the fifth meeting between these two teams who last faced each other in 2013 at Lions Stadium. Livingstone leads the all-time series. 3-1.  The Blue Bears won the last meeting between the two teams in 2013, 35-7.  Lincoln's last win was in Salisbury in 2009, winning 10-0, Salisbury. The series began in 2008.
