Livingstone takes on Winston-Salem State
SALISBURY — Livingstone College's fall break couldn't have come at a better time for the football team. Without class on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Blue Bears put in some extra work in to prepare for what is probably their toughest game of the season — a date with Winston-Salem State on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at the storied, 18,000-seat Bowman Gray Stadium.
Livingstone is now 0-3 in the CIAA but the overall record remains the same at 2-4 after adjustments in the standings. The Rams are 3-3, 2- in the CIAA and are on a two-game winning streak. During the streak, Winston-Salem State has beaten four conference foes by an average of 32 points per game.
After starting the season 2-1, Livingstone has lost three straight games, the last two coming at home — St. Augustine's (26-15) and Shaw (37-28).
W-S State has won 15 straight games against Livingstone, which hasn't won in this series since 1998.
You can view the game via live stream on the CIAA Sports Network. Live stats will be available.
