Blue Bears win streak is now two, beating Bowie St., 70-63

SALISBURY -  Livingstone College men's basketball team picked up its second straight win, defeating the defending CIAA Champions, Bowie State Bulldogs, 70-63, on Wednesday evening in New Trent Gym.

 Malik Smith led the Blue Bears in scoring with 12 points and grabbing five boards. Rashard Todd and Cameron Burhannon each scored eight points..

Both teams shot the ball fairly even in the game. LC shot 35 percent from the field, while Bowie shot 37 percent.  Both teams were a combined of four three pointer made, and was close from the charity stripe.  LC made one more free throw (22-30) than the Bulldogs (21-30), but BSU out rebounded the Blue Bears 45-39.

Livingstone host Shaw on Saturday, January 13 for a 4 p.m. tip.
