LC VOLLEYBALL GOES 2-1 AT CIAA ROUNDUP
SALISBURY – Livingstone College went 2-1 in the CIAA Round Up defeating Bowie State (3-1) and Elizabeth City State (3-0), at the A.C. Jordan Arena in Bowie, Maryland. The lone loss was to Virginia State over the two day event.
Both wins improves the Lady Blue Bears to 2-1 in the CIAA and 2-2 overall.
Shantell Billups capped a marvelous weekend with 24 kills and 13 digs. Against Bowie, Billups finished with 10 kills and seven digs.
Stevee Cotton collected 64 assists, eight service aces and 15 digs for the Lady Blue Bears. Ajia Long contributed nine kills, 21 digs and two service aces, Jekisha Rhymes had 21 kills totaled.
Livingstone will host Shaw University to open divisional play in Salisbury, N.C. on Thursday, Sept. 21. The match begins at 6 p.m.
