LC Volleyball Falls to WSSU, 3-0

SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (14-4, 10-1 CIAA) was a little too strong for the Lady Blue Bears, as WSSU took a three-set road win over Livingstone on Thursday night, in New Trent Gymnasium. The Rams won three sets to none 25-12, 25-9, and 25-11. 
 
Livingstone's Shontavia Wright and Jekisha Rhymes lead the team with three kills.  Rhymes also led the team with six digs.    LC drops to 3-11 on the season, 3-8 in CIAA play and 0-5 in the Southern Division.
 
WSSU's Christa Brown led the way for the Rams with a team-high 14 kills in the match win.
 
The Lady Blue Bears will return to the road on Monday, when the team heads to Raleigh, N.C. to take on the Bears of Shaw University.  First volley is set for 6 p.m.
