Bluefield State too strong for Livingstone

SALISBURY - Livingstone College Volleyball fell to Bluefield State 3-1 in non-conference action on Monday night in New Trent Gymnasium.

BSC took game one, winning 25-13. However, the Blue Bears roar back in game two. LC had a 20 to 16 lead until Big Blues fired off four straight kills. Livingstone was able to hold off on the win, 25-21.

In the next two sets the Lady Blue Bears out hustle on every play but was unable to seal the victory. Jekisha Rhymes led the Lady Blue Bears with five kills along with five digs.

Defensively, Stevee Cotton led with eight digs along with 14 assist in the game.

Up next for the Blue Bears, they will travel to Morris College on Wednesday, September 12. First volley is set for 6:00 p.m.
