LC Volleyball defeats JCSU In Three Sets

SALISBURY, NC – Livingstone College women's volleyball team defeated Johnson C. Smith University in three sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) on Thursday night in New Trent Gym. LC improves to 7-8 overall, 4-5 in the CIAA.

The Lady Blue Bears came out strong in each of the three sets. Jekisha Rhymes and Shantell Billups each led LC with eight kills and nine digs. Rukiya Garland had a team high of 18 digs while Stevee Cotton dished out 20 assists.

Livingstone returns to the court on Monday, October 10 in a road divisional match against Saint Augustine's University. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Emery Gymnasium.
