WINSTON-SALEM – Livingstone College goes 1-2 during play at the second CIAA Volleyball Roundup at Winston-Salem State over the weekend
In the first match of the day, the Lady Blue Bears fell to Chowan, 3-0. Against the Hawks,
Jekisha Rhymes and
Endea Woodle each led the way with four kills while,
Stevee Cotton added seven assists and seven digs.
In match two, LC fell to Virginia State, 3-0. Woodle, led the way with six kills.
In the final match of the weekend on Sunday, the Lady Blue Bears closed out with a 3-0 decision to Elizabeth City State. Against the Vikings,
Shantell Billups had 12 kills while teammate Woodle had a game high of 10 kills. Cotton dished out 29 assists while
Rukiya Garland led the way with 15 digs.
LC is now 5-8 overall and 3-5 in CIAA play. The Lady Blue Bears return home to face the Golden Bulls on Thursday, October 6, for a 6:00 p.m.
