AUGUSTA, GA – Livingstone College Lady Blue Bears volleyball survived a tough five game match to Paine College winning 25-9, 19-25, 26-24, 21-25, and 15-10.

The Blue Bears evens its overall record to 3-3.

Lareecia Sweeney led the team with 24 kills, with a season high 20 digs, and seven service aces. Sweeney's teammate Kierra Acuff tallied six kills and a team high 32 assists. Defensively, Livingstone's Jekisha Rhymes led the team with 27 digs.

As a team, the Lady Blue Bears accumulated 43 kills, 38 assists, 14 service aces, 87 digs, and eight team blocks.

The team is back in action Saturday and Sunday, when they compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Volleyball Round Up, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
