Salisbury, NC- The Blue Bear Volleyball team struggled against CIAA Match-up,,Fayetteville State on Monday (Sept.22), falling short to all sets (17-25,18-25,17-25).
Although there was a lack in momentum, the Blue Bears was led in kills by Lareecia Swiney who totaled in with 8, followed by Carrie Blunt who added in 6. Lapria Saunders was a very lucrative player as she contributed 7 assists, 4 digs and 2 kills,for the team.,

The Blue Bears struggled to get into the game as they had back-to-back errors totaling that of 27 for the matchup, compared to 11 by Fayetteville State.

Fayetteville State dominated all three sets, and was a tough defender with their lead player Samira Luis who had 10 kills for the night.

Although the Blue Bears came up short, Head Coach Reginald Isley encourages his team to look forward to the next matchup with Bluefield State and bring home the Win.

The game will be on September 22 at 5:00 PM in Bluefield, WV.
