Salisbury, NC- The Livingstone Blue Bears Volleyball team snatched a three set victory to Edward Waters College Wednesday night in the The New Trent Gym on the Campus of Livingstone College. The Lady Blue Bears continue their winning streak to now 5-0 overall. As the Blue Bears trampled over the Tigers there,were excellent standout performances,by Junior Lareecia Swiney, who led the team with 15 kills and Senior Lapria Saunders who followed with 19 assists and 4 digs.

In the first two sets the Lady Blue Bears dominated the Tigers, with first set being 25-18,,and a horrific second set, 25-6.,As the Tigers tried to claw back and shift the momentum of a slipping series, the Lady Blue Bears once again prevailed with the help of Carrie Blunt, with 7 kills and 3 blocks. Iman Isom added to the victory with 1 kill, 4 assists and 4 digs to bring the Lady Bears back on top with a nail bitting victory set of 27-25.

The Lady Blue Bears hit the road for their CIAA round-up tournament,in Richmond, VA hosted by Virginia Union, on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
