Salisbury, NC- The Livingstone College women's basketball team will hit the road this Friday and Saturday, November 21-22, to play in the Kentucky State University Tournament in Frankfort, KY.
The Lady Blue Bears stand at (1-1) currently, winning 100-60 to Johnson and Wales, and falling to Western Carolina (55-66).
Predicted to finish sixth in the CIAA'S Southern Division, the Lady Blue Bears have a lot to prove this season, under the direction of new head coach
Anita Howard.
The Lady Blue Bears finished 12-15 overall and 7-9 in conference play last season.
Senior Guard
Cierra York (Winston-Salem, NC) who was named to the Preseason All-CIAA Team averaged 14.6 points per game last season for the Blue Bears, and will be a one of the key players to look to on the court.
Senior
Precious Roberts (Fernandina Beach, FL) looks to be a threat this season, coming off the bench posting a team-high 16 points against Johnson and Wales for the Lady Blue Bears.
Junior
Amber Curtis (Savannah, GA) will also be one to watch, who also posted a team high 16 points against Western Carolina on Monday Night.
The Lady Blue Bears will play in the Kentucky State University tournament this weekend. Friday's game is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. against Bluefield State.
Saturday's game is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. against the host team Kentucky State University.
