Salisbury, NC, - Junior forward Eric Mayo recorded a double-double, 18 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks to lead Livingstone College to a 72-64 win over
Morehouse College on Thursday night in New Trent Gymnasium.

The victory improves the Blue Bears to 5-0 overall.
Eric Dubose (Brooklyn, NY) added 13 points and four rebounds, while Christian Henry scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Experience played a big factor in the Blue Bears success over the young Maroon Tigers. Morehouse maintained the lead the entire game, but it wasn't until the five minute mark where the Blue Bears turned their offense up and never looked back.

Mark Thomas (Saginaw, MI) and Jody Hill, Jr., (Detroit, MI) hit back-to-back three pointers for the lead late in the second half. The Blue Bears hit five unanswered shots before the Maroon Tigers retaliated. Livingstone, energized off their fans, stretched the lead far enough for a solid victory. Thomas and Hill paced the Blue Bears with nine points apiece.

The Blue Bears will travel to Fort Lauderdale, FL to compete in the Cruzin' Classic. Livingstone will take on Drury University.
