The Livingstone College volleyball team defeated the Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls in four sets (27-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22) on Monday evening in Salisbury.

Livingstone, who was led by senior middle hitter Phylicia Egbuna's (Chula Vista, CA) match high 19 kills and 15 digs, took sets one, two and four in the win. Freshman Lareecia Swiney (Ft. Worth, TX) added to the win with 14 kills and seven digs.  

Sophomore setter LaPria Saunders (Lanham, MD) tallied 34 assists for the Blue Bears.

The win improved the Blue Bears record to 10-4 overall.

Livingstone travels to Raleigh, NC to face Shaw University September 27. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
