Atlanta, GA- The Livingstone College men's basketball team defeated the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College 70-58 in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday.


Livingstone had three players to score double figures against the Maroon Tigers. Junior guard Mark Thomas (Saginaw, MI) led the Blue Bears with 17 points, six rebounds and four steals. Senior Ethan Anderson (Grand Rapids, MI) followed with 16 points and six rebounds.


The Blue Bears were also paced by Anthony Welch's (Chicago, IL)13 points and five rebounds. Senior Tyler Johnson played aggressive for the Blue Bears by snatching a team high nine rebounds.


As a team the Blue Bears shot 43.5 percent from the field and 77 percent from the charity stripe. Livingstone also out-rebounded Morehouse 44-33.


The Blue Bears improve their record to 6-1 on the season.


Livingstone will return to action at home in Trent Gymnasium, December 17. Game time is slated for 6:00 p.m.
