SALISBURY, NC – Livingstone Interim Athletic Director, William Orr, has announced the hiring of Micheal Thompson as the new Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Services.

Thompson comes to Livingstone after previously having worked at Morgan State University as the Compliance Director from February 2008 through August 2010.  While at Morgan State, Thompson was primarily responsible for conducting the compliance office for the 14 varsity sports.

Prior to working at Morgan State, Thompson spent one year as the Compliance Intern at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference where he worked as the liaison between the MEAC and the 10 member institutions.

Thompson also has experience inside the CIAA as he worked for four months as the CIAA Football and Basketball Championships Intern.

Thompson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management from Winston-Salem State University that he received in August of 2006.
