COLUMBIA, SC -- The Livingstone volleyball team split two matches Saturday as it fell to Morris College and downed Allen University.

The Blue Bears had a hard-fought first match against Morris College.  Livingstone dropped the first two games of the match 23-25 and 20-25.  Being down 2-0 fired up the Blue Bears as they took the next two sets 25-17 and 25-13 to force a fifth game.  Despite a valiant effort in the fifth set, the Blue Bears fell 14-16.

Livingstone moved onto Allen University later Saturday afternoon where they easily took the match 3-0 (25-20, 25-14 and 25-16).  The Blue Bears were led by sophomore Michelle Thompson who tallied eight kills while freshman Alexis Flagler had seven kills.

The Blue Bears will be back in action Monday when they travel to Fayetteville State for a 6 p.m. contest.
