RALEIGH, NC -- The Livingstone volleyball team defeated the Shaw Bears 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-21 and 25-19) Monday evening.

With the victory the Blue Bears improved to 12-7 overall, 6-7 in the CIAA and 2-6 in the Western Division.

Sophomore middle hitter Michelle Thompson led the Blue Bears with 16 kills.  Freshman outside hitter Alexis Flagler also added 11 kills in the victory.

Livingstone will host St. Augustine's College Wednesday at 6 p.m.
