TyNiece Sutton, the beloved former assistant to the athletic director, was truly the heartbeat of the athletic department. Her groundbreaking efforts in fundraising transformed the landscape of support for student-athlete success, creating countless opportunities for those she deeply cared about. TyNiece’s passion, dedication, and unwavering belief in the potential of every student-athlete inspired everyone around her and left an indelible mark on the community.

In honor of her remarkable contributions and legacy, the athletic department hosts the TyNiece Sutton Athletic Scholarship Gala & Fellowship, celebrating her commitment to excellence and the empowerment of young athletes. Additionally, a non-athletic scholarship is organized by TyNiece’s mother, a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., symbolizing the same strength, character, and leadership that TyNiece embodied. Together, they carry forward her legacy, serving as a guiding light within Livingstone College.

TyNiece Sutton will always be remembered not only for her professional achievements & her smile but also for the warmth and compassion she brought into every interaction.
