Eric Gibson II serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. A former linebacker at Catawba College under Coach Curtis Walker, Eric has built a career in athletics spanning coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, and athletic administration.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Catawba College with a concentration in Sports Medicine. He began his coaching career at Catawba, where he served in several roles, including linebackers coach, video coordinator, assistant academic coordinator, and assistant recruiting coordinator. Through these positions, he gained valuable experience in coaching, recruiting, academic support, and student-athlete development.
Eric later joined North Charleston High School, where he served in several coaching capacities, including Head Baseball Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and Offensive Coordinator. Most recently, he served as Defensive Coordinator at Southwest Guilford High School.
Throughout his career, Eric has demonstrated a strong commitment to athletics, leadership, and student-athlete success. His experience as a former student-athlete, coach, recruiter, and administrator provides him with a well-rounded perspective as he supports the day-to-day operations of athletics and works to create an environment where student-athletes and coaches can thrive.
