Coach Daniels is originally from New Bern, NC. He is a 1965 graduate of Livingstone College, with a BS degree in Chemistry and an received an MBA in 1972 from Indiana University.

Daniels, served as a Chemist/Metallurgist at International Harvester, then as an Engineer/Group Leader/Superintendent at Kosa in Salisbury, retiring in 2004.

Daniels also served as a volunteer Sports Photographer at Livingstone for more than twenty years and as Head Women's Tennis Coach for the 2010 season.

Coach Daniels, played on the men's tennis team from 1963 to 1965, is now a volunteer assistant coach for women's tennis team.
