Justin Avery began working as a volunteer assistant with the Livingstone Track & Field team upon graduation. Avery works closely with the sprinters. Avery is a great asset as he is very relatable to the athletes.
Coach Avery is employed by Rowan Salisbury Schools where he also coaches football for West Rowan Middle and West Rowan High school.
Coach Avery loves being able to mold the young minds of the community that he grew up in.
Avery is a 2015 graduate of Livingstone College with a degree in Sports Management. As a student athlete Coach Avery was a very integral member of the track & field team also serving as team captain.
In 2014 Avery qualified and competed in the Division II Indoor National Championships in the 200 meters where he placed 14th overall. Avery also holds records at Livingstone for the indoor 400 meter and 4 x 400.
