Dr. Furney Brown, class of 1963 and a football inductee.  Dr. Brown earned his Bachelor of Sceince Degree from Livingsotne, his Master of Arts Degree from NC Central University and his Ed.D. from the University of Miami.  Dr. Brown received an athletic scholarship to Livingstone where he played football under Ted Brown during his freshman and sophomore seasons. Upon graduation from Livingstone in 1963 he was the assistant high school football coach at Fuquay-Varina Consolidated High School and junior varsity basketball coach. The basketball team finished first during the 1964-65 season. He was also a Little League baseball coach in the city of Durham.

Erica Deas, class of 2002 and a women's basketball inductee.  Erica Nakkia Deas was born April 1, 1979 in Sumter, South Carolina to Mr. Elbert and Mrs. Juanita Deas. Upon graduation from high school, Erica received a scholarship to Livingstone College where she graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Information Skills. While matriculating at Livingstone, Erica played on the Lady Blue Bear basketball team for four years. Erica hit the winning three-point shot in the last seconds of 2000 CIAA Championship game to bring home the title for the Blue Bears.  Erica made the All-CIAA Team for all four years at Livingstone and has nine Lady Blue Bear basketball records that still stand today. Erica holds the school record in points scored (1,683), field goals made (589), field goals attempted (1,335), three-point field goals made (161), three-point field goals attempted (485), free throws made (344), steals (243), minutes played (2,504) and games played (103).

Roddrick Dunlap, class of 1998 and a football inductee.  He entered LC in the fall of 1994 on athletic scholarship as a part of the first recruiting class of then newly hired Head Coach Rudy Abrams. Rodd went on to be a part time starter as a freshman and was a starter each of the succeeding seasons.   In 1997, Rodd was a member and team captain of the first team in LC football history to win the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference championship. Being a part of the first CIAA conference championship team in school history and accomplishing the ultimate team goal was the highlight of his athletic career and the thing he’s most proud of from an athletic standpoint.   Rodd was a 4 year lettermen for the LC football team. He was named 1st Team All-CIAA three times during his career. Rodd posted 19 career interceptions, 45 career pass breakups, and set a school record for interceptions (4) in a game. He led the team in interceptions three consecutive years and received LC’s Most Valuable Defensive Back award three consecutive years. Rodd also went on to receive All-CIAA academic honors, be named to the All-CIAA Commissioner’s Academic team while being named to LC’s Dean’s List each of his 8 semesters on campus.   Subsequently, Rodd received the 1998 Livingstone College Grady Nelson Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS).

Tiffany Felder, class of 1999 and a volleyball inductee.  Tiffany Felder is a member of the graduating class of 1999 and was a very active student on Livingstone’s campus in her four years as a Blue Bear. In addition to her prowess on the volleyball court, Tiffany was also captain of the Livingstone "La-La" Cheerleaders and was named an All-CIAA Cheerleader for two consecutive years.  Additionally, Tiffany was Vice-President of the Psychology Club, Member of Omega Essence, Miss Omega Psi Phi, President and Co-Founder of the modeling troop Entourage, a Livingstone College Mentor, a member of the Livingstone College Dean’s List, the National Dean’s List, member of the Psi Chi Honors Society, Secretary of the Pre-Alumni Council and a volunteer for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America in Salisbury, NC.

Adrian Ferguson, class of 1996 and a cross country and track inductee.  As a student-athlete at Livingstone, Ferguson was a four-year letterman on the Blue Bears’ Cross Country and Track & Field teams.   He was a four-time All-CIAA athlete and was honored with two Coaches Awards and four cross country MVP Awards.  During his final year at Livingstone, Ferguson also served as the full-time Sports Information Director and assistant track coach. After receiving his degree, he continued to work for Livingstone for two years in the same capacities.  In 2001, he rejoined the staff at Livingstone College as the Sports Information Director and as an assistant coach.  LC honored Ferguson with the 2003 Fletcher Jones Distinguish Athletic Service Award.  He received the John Holley 2002-03 CIAA Sports Information Director of the Year Award. In 2004, Ferguson took over the track & field program which consists of cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field. The cross country team finished third at the 2004 and 2005 CIAA Championships.   During his reign as coach, Ferguson produced a NCAA DII Cross Country All-American and two qualifiers for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. In the CIAA, Livingstone had seven CIAA individual champions and 27 All-CIAA performers.

Dr. Allan Hart, Sr., class of 1966 and a posthumous football induction.  Allan received a full scholarship for football to Kittrell College where he stayed for one year. He continued his college education at Livingstone where he was awarded a football scholarship as well. During his senior year at Livingstone, he received All-CIAA honors as a wide receiver. With an emphasis on religion, Livingstone was a perfect place for Allan to nurture the religious upbringing he had received at home. He graduated from Livingstone in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.  Allan’s love for the game of football drove him to pursue a pro football career with the Orlando Panthers and then a semi-pro football career with the Pottstown Firebirds and the Ridley Township Team.  Allan passed away on April 15, 2009, leaving behind a loving wife, Crystal Burris Hart and two sons Gerrick Kersey and Allan, Jr.

Augustus L. Jones, class of 1968 and a men's basketball inductee.  After graduation from high school, under the direction of the Late Bishop Enoch B. Rochester, he attended Livingstone College to have the opportunity to see and work with professional black men which was the desire of his parents. While at Livingstone, "Gus" was a four-year member of the basketball team serving as co-captain the last two years.  The love of Livingstone was always obvious over the years as he recruited students for Livingstone beginning in 1965 while still a student, served in the local chapter, Homecoming co-chair, vice-president of LCNAA and currently as the president of the Livingstone College National Alumni Association.

Bobby J. Talbert, class of 1962 and a men's basketball inductee.  Bobby Talbert received his high school education from Second Ward High School, the first black high school in Charlotte, North Carolina, graduating in 1957. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Livingstone in 1962.  During his years at Livingstone, Talbert was a four-year starter and letterman on the basketball team. In 1958, the team went undefeated in conference play and was runners up in the 1958 EIAC Tournament. That same year Talbert was named to the All-EIAC Tournament Team.

Ronald F. Walser, class of 1972 and a football inductee.  Ronald F. Walser, a native of Lexington, N.C., was a four year letterman in football and tennis at Livingstone College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in 1972.   Walser was the first tennis player to earn All-CIAA honors as the 1972 team finished second in the conference tournament. He served as captain of the tennis team, President of the Senior Class and Sports Editor of the year book.  After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1974, Walser received his Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 1976.   He has coached many sports both in the military and public schools as well as playing many local and national tennis events as a member of the American Tennis Association (ATA).

1989 Men's Golf Team (Andre Springs - Coach, Clifton Goodwin, Gregory McCord, Alan Montague, Carlton Taylor, Jerome Westley.  The 1989 Livingstone men’s golf team was the most successful in school history, going 37-1 over four years as Blue Bears.  The group of golfers entered Livingstone in the fall of 1985, recruited by current head golf coach Andre Springs. In their freshman year they won 11 straight tournaments and fell just short of the CIAA Championship, falling to Fayetteville State.  The next three years saw the Blue Bears win three CIAA Golf Championships and in 1987 the team finished third in the nation at the Minority Golf Championship.  All of the hard work put in by the golfers came together in 1989 when the Blue Bears won the National Minority Golf Championship held in Cleveland, Ohio. At the 1989 national championships, Carlton Taylor finished second in the individual standings after falling one shot short on a playoff.
