Greensboro, NC- Livingstone College's women's basketball team was overpowered by UNC Greensboro losing 94-39 at Bodford Arena.
The Lady Blue Bears struggled throughout the game, shooting just 25.8% from the field and 11.1% from three-point range. Their offensive inefficiency, combined with turnovers and the Spartans' fast break dominance, made it difficult to mount any serious challenge.
In the first quarter, Livingstone only managed 6 points, shooting 3-for-17 from the field. UNC Greensboro took full advantage, jumping to a 22-6 lead. The Blue Bears continued to struggle in the second quarter, hitting just 3 of 18 shots, and by halftime, they were down 42-14.
Livingstone showed some signs of life in the third quarter, improving their shooting percentage to 40% (4-for-10). However, they were still outscored 27-12 in the third, as UNC Greensboro's depth and speed continued to shine. In the final quarter, the Spartans sealed the deal with a 25-point effort, outpacing Livingstone 25-13 to end the game with a 94-39 victory.
Breasia Coit was the standout for Livingstone, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.
Ny'Asia Green added 6 points.
UNC Greensboro was led by Jeni Levine, who scored 17 points and Makiah Asidanya also played a key role, contributing 15 points.
The Lady Blue Bears will be on the road as they travel to Lincoln University (PA) on Monday, January 5th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
