Livingstone Women’s Basketball Celebrates Senior Night with 71-58 Win Over Johnson C. Smith

Salisbury, N.C.- On Senior Night, the Livingstone College women's basketball team secured a 71-58 victory against Johnson C. Smith, led by standout performances from Samiyah Briggs and Morgan Kelson.

Briggs, who played 28 minutes, finished with 21 points, hitting 7 of 14 from the field and 4 of 6 from beyond the arc. Kelson had a double-double performance with 18 points and 15 rebounds in 38 minutes. She was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line and was dominant on the boards, securing several crucial second-chance opportunities.

Bria Griffith also contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes, while Thalia Carter added 7 points and 6 rebounds. The team put together a strong collective effort, with key contributions from reserves such as Boston Bates and Jay'La Williams, who scored 6 and 3 points each.

With the win, Livingstone will finish up their season against Winston-Salem State University this weekend. Game time is set for 2pm.
